How many musicians will be in the band that performs at the wedding?

 

Imagine your disappointment if the demo you heard or the performance you saw featured six musicians, but on the day you only have three. Alternatively, if you are only expecting a band of four, eight musicians will come as a shock both financially and spatially.

All our demos are recorded live so what you hear is what you will get! We are a three piece band (Guitar, Bass, Drums) but we are able to create a full sound by using backing tracks to fill in the keyboard and other parts of the songs that would normally be played by extra musicians

Will you learn a song for our first dance?

 

Yes we can if given sufficient notice and it is possible for our band line up to learn the song. Alternatively we have the facility for an Ipod or similar to be played though our sound system.

How long will you play and what happens during breaks?

 

Our fee is a flat-rate fee that covers a standard function of up to 3 hours of entertainment. This includes setting up prior to guest arrival time, background music being played during our breaks, and approximately 3 x 45 minute sets of music during the function. However we understand that formalities and meals can greatly vary in time, and are happy to remain flexible with our sets to fit in with the night's proceedings. For example, if speeches take longer than expected and we have to start late we will happily make it up by playing longer sets and shortening our breaks. Any time we are off stage, unless speeches or presentations are happening, we have a wide selection of background music we can play through our system, which is suited to the particular time of the function. 

The bottom line is we love to perform!! Therefore you can rest assured that we are flexible enough to fit our live music sets around your formalities, but will squeeze in as much performing as we can throughout the function!

When will you set up, how long will it take?

 

We will set up prior to your guests arriving, we take around 1 hour to set up.

Can we have some input into the play list?

 

Absolutely, we are happy for you to look through our extensive song list and highlight or mark your favourites, and we will endeavour to play as many of your selections as we can possibly fit in on the night. When making your selections, however, please keep in mind that in order for the function to be successful and to ensure your dance-floor is full, the song choices need to suit a variety of age groups from teens right up to seniors.

As seasoned performers, we have experience and instinct which allows us to read the crowd and determine the songs that are going to 'get the party going', therefore, many couples prefer to leave the music choices in our capable hands but may highlight a few "must play" and "must not play" songs

What do we need to provide for the band?

 

The band will need a reliable electrical supply and space to set up.

The area required for the band is approx 6mx4m (not including dance floor).

If this area is not available we may be able to set up as an acoustic band with less equipment but this will vary the sound of the band significantly. Please feel free to discuss this with us if required.

Soft drinks are also appreciated as its thirsty work playing for you!

Do you provide your own sound and lighting equipment?

 

Yes. We provide our own PA system and stage lighting that we need to have a fabulous sound. We also provide suitable background music. If you need to use our system for speeches, just ask us. However, some venues require additional sound and lighting equipment.  Additional charges apply for this and we will let you know at the time of the book is this is required
